When you enable approvals for a record type you can define specific logic for when a record is created or saved, then a confirmation message will appear. The user must confirm their submission AND you can also require additional input from them to continue forward.

Then within Netsuite integrate these submissions into the logic of your already existing workflows to ensure each record is processed exactly how you need it to be.
